I believe their should be more options given to them because we have to keep in mind that not every immigrant has all the time in the world or may go trough struggles already, not trying to make it seem that they should be more sensitive just because it's hard for them, but there should be faster and less time consuming options and within reason from the immigrants.
@9FPJHBW8mos8MO
no i dont agree with this statement i think we should run look at their situation first before helping them
@9FPK8JR8mos8MO
I believe the process of becoming an American citizen was put in place to keep our country safe, but we are a country built on immigrants. Those who seek to live here because their native country is unsafe and is unable to provide a reasonable living situation for them should have the right to leave. Those who cross over with their children with hopes of them receiving a better life here don’t fully understand that coming means their child is not given the same benefits citizens are. They can attend public school, but they cannot work, they cannot get their permit, etc. Children of immigrants should be granted citizenship, they were not in control of their crossing.
@9FRWDMN8mos8MO
Immigrants shouldn't have to apply because many are in bad situations and by the time someone finally looks at there application they could be gone.
@9FS8HN6Peace and Freedom8mos8MO

@9FTYMM58mos8MO
I think there just needs to be a better and faster system for immigrants because for some the process is much harder because of their situation. You also never know what can happen if you do apply.
@9FT6NJX8mos8MO
The 14th Amendment of the U.S. bill of rights was America promising citizenship to all people born in the U.S.
@9FVDGCN 8mos8MO
I would say if they're living in the U.S. they should be allowed citizenship if they've been living there for at least 15 years
@9FRXZ5HConstitution8mos8MO
Not everybody has the resources to formally apply some people don't even have the chances to apply and if they do have the chance they get the cold shoulder.
@9FTKKQ38mos8MO
I think the wall is the best counter argument. I honestly think the wall isn't really that necessary, yes I understand for the safety of our country, but there are a lot of good Hispanic people that deserve to just have a happy life. Even though America isn't that great, it's nice to them.
@9FX23M38mos8MO
Children of illegal immigrants may lack the necessary documentation required to gain citizenship legally through the formal application process. They are ultimately, inevitably, and unfairly disadvantaged. Every person regardless of their race should have an equal opportunity, especially those who have suffered enough already.
@9GN49JD7mos7MO
I disagree because that shouldn't matter. They came to the US for a better life and harassing people and saying this is not making their life better. These are also the people that have done most of the building the US and have done more to this country than the american citizens here.
@9FXSMGVPeace and Freedom8mos8MO
I feel like if an immigrant has been living in the States for a several amount of time and lives the average citizen life without any sort of criminal record, I don't think it a necessary to deport them. United States has standards and if a human being is living up the those, then I do not see why they should not continue to live here.
@9FMJQ6B8mos8MO
When some people formally apply, their circumstances would not allow them to stay in America when they are already contributing members of society. They also run the risk of being deported if their application is not accepted.
@9FWQX5F8mos8MO
In the constitution, it is also stated that everyone is equal meaning they have to go through the same process if they want something.
@9FVW4DZ8mos8MO
I agree with that? However birthright citizenship has been a staple of this country’s history, we’re a melting pot.
@9FLLTK4Republican8mos8MO
The application of citizenship is unjust and most people who try most of the time are not given to the immigrants
@9FY6XCG7mos7MO
the current application system for citizenship neglects mexican immigrants with lower income well allowing higher income criminals to enter the united states.
@9FM3XWL8mos8MO
Some of the immigrants are in immediate danger and need refuge immediately. They don't have the time to go through the decades long registration process.
@9FLX6RX8mos8MO
they shouldn't have to because most of them have been going to school in the U.S. since they were little. and sometime they don't even try to help them get there citizenship they just take there money and that's it.
@9FM3BGHWomen’s Equality8mos8MO
Immigrant people should be treated the same as a regular citizen, they were born here and deserve to have the right to be here.
We can’t treat each immigrant with the same circumstances as they all come from different experiences
@9GH7BYG7mos7MO
If immigrants have enough education and knowledge better than those who are citizens they are better capacitated and may improve the country better than citizens who are not prepared as immigrants.
Right now they are not legal citizens, so they should be made legal citizens under any means necessary
Not all people have the time or safety to wait to be accepted and could saves lives of those in urgent need
@9FSWVJXRepublican8mos8MO
This question is irrelevant. A country built on the backs of immigrants can’t turn their backs on them. This question is unconstitutional.
@9FL2VFH8mos8MO
but you were born here so you wouldn't have even the slightest idea on what it's like to "apply" to be here.
@9FLHTTF8mos8MO
They are not given the chance just because they're trying to get a better life in this country they are looked down on. A lot of them are good people with good intentions
@9FL3R698mos8MO
I understand that they need to apply just like every other citizen. Immigrants can not get special treatment just because they are immigrants. The problem is the fact that immigrants are more overlooked for medical because they are immigrants. Just like they shouldn't get special treatment because they are immigrants means they shouldn't get overlooked for being an immanent either.
@9FRHPPL8mos8MO
There are reasons people don't apply mainly because of lack of information which is directly caused by the lack of money a country has
@9FRNHJF8mos8MO
The point of illegal immigrants is that they had to sneak into a country paying people to help them run from their government they broke into the U.S. and now live with a penalty that they cannot leave the state.
@9FMKLH68mos8MO
I really don't know but they should get the chance to because they are more hard working than white people.
@9HZ5HJ3 4mos4MO
i believe people should apply to become citizens in any nation but the means of doing so are to time consuming and should be lessened, and for immigrants who have "no time" should be put under our country in a certain separate section. For the undocumented citizens in our country they should be held to our standards and have legal representation as long as they pay tax etc..
@9GNSN9Q7mos7MO
immigrants are unique and diverse they are not just one race nor are they one nationality and thus will naturally not know or integrate to the US entirely and many of which are old people some with the age of you grandmother or even great-grandmother as an example and as research has shown the older you get the slower and harder it is to learn something new a new concept.
@9FF9VMW8mos8MO
For some context, untaxed income is significantly more. If thousands of people don't pay their taxes, the economy could potentially crumble.
@9GQLT9C6mos6MO
I think that everyone should be treated fairly. Nobody should be treated differently just because of what they look like or just because they are not from the U. S.
@9GHH3Y4Women’s Equality7mos7MO
considering just how hard it is to gain citizenship without having the right resources its close to impossible so some people get desperate and feel the need to give birth in a place that benefits them
@9GJWHZZ7mos7MO
Immigrants don't have the chance to do the right the first time because not everyone will apply even if they do there best and are looking to do things the right way.
@9FWVTWL8mos8MO
You must been born in the U.S have some background knowledge on the U.S. Constitution, and live in the U>S for more that 8 years.
@9FXF89F8mos8MO
that es while needing to go through the proper procedures those procedures go far too slow for them to stay long enough to gain citizenship
@Anna 8mos8MO
The point of illegal immigrants is that they had to sneak into a country paying people to help them run from their government they broke into the U.S. and now live with a penalty that they cannot leave the state.
@9FTJVWM8mos8MO
No all children from illegal immigrants shall apply like a new citizen because illegal immigrants believe they can earn citizenship though their child.
@9FTYQWWPeace and Freedom8mos8MO
I mean they should, but the process takes way too long. In the waiting time, a person could have the next 4 generations of their familied.
Not everyone needs to formally apply and if they do they should fasten the process and not make it as long as it is.
